<p data-path-to-node="19">Zorza polarna to nie tylko spektakl wizualny, ale przede wszystkim wizualizacja pola magnetycznego Ziemi chroniącego nas przed kosmosem. Zdjęcia prezentowane w tym artykule zostały wykonane podczas wypraw na Islandię (m.in. w rejonie Hellissandur), która dzięki swojemu położeniu na 64-66° szerokości geograficznej północnej, znajduje się bezpośrednio pod &#8222;owalem zorzowym&#8221;.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="24"><b>Zamrażanie Struktury</b> Fotografowanie zorzy to balansowanie między ekspozycją a ruchem. Zorza jest obiektem dynamicznym.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="25,0,0"><b>Czas naświetlania:</b> Zbyt długi (powyżej 15-20s) rozmyje strukturę &#8222;filarów&#8221;, zamieniając je w bezkształtną plamę. Aby uchwycić detale kurtyn widoczne na zdjęciach, stosowałem czasy rzędu 5-10 sekund przy wysokim ISO.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p data-path-to-node="25,1,0"><b>Wskaźnik Bz:</b> Dla fotografa-łowcy, ważniejszy od indeksu Kp jest parametr Bz (kierunek pola magnetycznego wiatru słonecznego). Tylko ujemna (południowa) wartość Bz gwarantuje spektakularny pokaz.</p>

									<p data-path-to-node="10">Podczas gdy statyczna fotografia pozwala dostrzec detal i strukturę &#8222;filarów&#8221;, dopiero technika filmowa (time-lapse) oddaje prawdziwą naturę zjawiska – jego nieprzewidywalną dynamikę. Poniższy materiał wideo został zrealizowany metodą poklatkową. Aparat wykonywał zdjęcie co kilka sekund, które następnie zostały połączone w płynny film.</p>

To dowód na to, jak zmienny jest strumień wiatru słonecznego uderzającego w ziemską magnetosferę.</p>
